Call for papers

EUNIS 2010 is the 16th Congress in a series of conferences within the framework of the European University Information Systems organisation (EUNIS).

EUNIS Congresses are international events that attract a large audience from Higher Education Institutions (HEI). It is a chance for international specialists, users, researchers, decision-makers and academic teachers from all over Europe to share their experience. Moreover, it is a very good event to present and publish the latest results of research, investigations and deployment concerning Information Technology in HEIs.

EUNIS 2010 Congress’s themes include but are not limited to:

  • IT governance and e-administration
  • IT infrastructure and integrated systems
  • Technical and legal aspects of security
  • Global networks, partnerships, and exchanges
  • E-science, virtual libraries, virtual laboratories
  • E-learning and mobile learning, virtual and distance education
  • Advanced technologies and multimedia for learning and teaching
  • Web 2.0 and social networking at the university
  • Open software, content, access, innovation, standards
  • New challenges, including: Cloud Computing, SaaS, Green IT, Environmental Sustainable Organisations

You are invited to make a submission in one of the following tracks:

  1. Scientific — research results in the themes of the Congress.
  2. Technological — presentations covering technological aspects of the use of IT in HEIs.
  3. Good practices — examples of applications and deployments of modern technological solutions to the HEIs practices.
The best presentation from the each track above will be awarded.

The submission for the Scientific track should contain both the extended abstract and the full paper.

The submission for the Technological and Good practices tracks may contain an extended abstract only. If the authors apply for publishing the paper in the EUNIS 2010 Congress Proceedings Book the submission should contain the full paper also.

All submitted papers/abstracts will go through reviewing processes carried out by the Program Committee (at least two reviewers for each paper/abstract). The reviews will support the selection process of those papers/abstracts that will be accepted for their presentation at the Congress as well as the papers approved to their publication in the official EUNIS 2010 Congress Proceedings Book.

All accepted abstracts from all the tracks will be published in the Congress Book of Abstracts.

Extended abstracts 2 pages.
Full papers max. 12 pages.

Accepted papers must be presented in the conference by one of the authors.
