EUNIS BI Special Interest Group invites you for seminar Make data smart – a road map to the next level that will be held the University of Ghent, Belgium on 3-4 February 2020. Read the preliminary agenda and register here.

The overall goal of the Business Intelligence Special Interest Group at EUNIS is to act as a network of practitioners and researchers within the field of BI and analytics in European universities and Higher Education Institutions.

The network aims to promote a cooperative knowledge sharing environment for the development of innovative applications (e.g. predictive analytics or decision support, across all HE subject categories), and the exchange of ideas and experiences on BI in HE institutions such as success factors, technology and software. Finally, there is an intention to foster future BI and analytics projects joining institutions across Europe. Read more on the BI SIG activity here.

EUNIS Information Security Group (Info Sec) is pleased to invite you to the GDPR and Information Security workshop that is held at University of Malaga, Spain on 27-28 January 2020.
Expertise and experience will be shared between universities and national organisations in European countries such as Germany, Norway and Poland. The workshop will be a fantastic opportunity for networking and getting inspiration by sharing good practices and discuss future plans. Read the preliminary agenda here. MyAcademicID: 20-21 Nov, Berlin

EUNIS community is invited to meet the MyAcademicID project (MyAID), aiming at developing a European Student eID Scheme for Higher Education, that will be presented on 20-21 November in Berlin.

MyAID knits together the unique student identifier of the European Student Card project with secure authentication via the eduGAIN network. Linking local authentication with global access to services would allow students to smoothly navigate the digital world and safely and seamlessly authenticate their student status across borders and across institutions!

Attendees and speakers will include HEI leaders, EU decision-makers, student representatives and student unions, international relations officers, student service providers, and national and international experts in the field of digitalisation and IT.

Deadline for registrations is November 1, 2019. Places are limited, so register now to secure your spot!

EUNIS membership renewal for 2019/2020

Welcome to a new year of EUNIS membership!

As a not-for-profit organisation we consider it highly important that Higher Education Institutions take advantage of the opportunities to share ideas and good practices to help us operate efficiently.

With this in mind EUNIS will be organising more special interest events this year that are led by our Special Interests Groups and Task Force Leaders. As a EUNIS member you have a priority for attendance and, if possible, you can attend them free of charge. We have also intensified our collaboration with other organisations such as GÉANTECCAVietsch FoundationeuroCRISIMS GlobalMLA and EDUCAUSE to help EUNIS members benefit from the worldwide HE IT deployments.

We appreciate your continued commitment to encouraging exchange, cooperation and debate between those responsible for information systems in higher education or research institutes and look forward to keeping you posted on new developments in this field!
