EUNIS Enterprise Architecture SIG: news & activity

EUNIS Enterprise Architecture Special Interest Group continues with organizing informative events and the next scheduled meeting will be held online on 16th of September 2019 at 11am UTC time. The invitation has been sent out to the EA mailing list (ea@eunis.org). If you have not joined yet that list please do so (email: esa.suominen@eunis.org).

We also plan to organize a f2f workshop in Thessaloniki the 21st of November. If we get enough attendance to our meeting we will be able to work on our chosen development items and heatmap template of the Canvas. Please be active to promote our common goals and participate in the development!

We also remind that the EUNIS Enterprise Architecture pre-Congress workshop outcome is documented at the EUNIS EA SIG’s Team Drive as well as the presentations.

Additionally we created a visualization of the manual post-it notes and mapped them to the UCISA model. We will call the outcome EUNIS HEI Capability Canvas (now in beta) to have a working name for our efforts. The map can be found here as a PowerBI web version that can be explored and sorted in many ways. Please note that the add-on from the workshop are only mapped and not validated. That work is still in due!

Outputs from the EUNIS Student Mobility SIG workshop

We share the outputs from the EUNIS Student Mobility SIG pre-Congress workshop “Progress Made and Challenges to Beat” here.

The workshop featured a variety of initiatives and projects that aim to establish the optimal international exchange of study and student information. The speakers and delegates from HEIs shared their views and updates on challenges being met.

The workshop objectives were:
– to inform participants about the status and results of the various projects
– to clarify how HEI’s can engage and benefit from the available infrastructure and tools
– to better understand and promote the benefits of standardisation and digitisation
– to discuss technical and organisational challenges.
