EUNIS Workshop on Data Protection and IT Security, 21st of April, Berlin

We invite you to join the EUNIS workshop on Data Protection and IT Security that is held on 21st of April 2017 in Berlin, Germany. The event aims to address upcoming opportunities and challenges for Higher Education Institutions’ management and IT centers in the course of the introduction of the new EU General Data Protection Regulation.

It will present the main ideas behind the new regulation, discuss the legal framework and tries to present diverse views on how to integrate the new requirements into existing data protection and information security policy frameworks. For the practical aspects, the workshop will have talks from organizations that already gained some experience while getting ready for the regulation.

Target audience: IT Vice Rectors, CIOs, IT Directors, Data protection officers and IT security staff of the Higher Education.

EUNIS representtives at the Nordic CIO Conference, 30-31 March 2017

EUNIS representatives promote the organisation, EUNIS Annual Congress and the Rectors’ Conference 2018 at the Nordic CIO Conference Leading Digital Change in Helsinki. The Conference is targeted to all CIOs and others in a similar position in Higher Eduaction institutions. Hosts of the meeting are Hanken School of Economics together with the University of Helsinki.

EDUCAUSE Annual Conference 2016: visits to Stanford, Berkeley and UCLA

EDUCAUSE Annual Conference 2016 – French Delegation Report

For the fourth running year, a French delegation was officially assembled to participate in the annual EDUCAUSE conference. Like the previous three years, it was decided to take advantage of the trip to the United States to visit three universities: UCLA (Los Angeles), Stanford (Palo Alto), and Berkeley (San Francisco/Berkeley). This report follows the feedback meeting held in Paris on December 9th, 2016, and covers the three daylong university visits, and the various workshops attended at the EDUCAUSE conference.
