EUNIS21 Congress call for papers deadline reminder: 26 Feb

A reminder that the call for papers for the 2021 Annual Congress, with the theme A New Era of Digital Transformation: Challenges for Higher Education, is open till 26th of February!

The Congress will be held on 9 – 11 June 2021 in (Virtual) Athens hosted by the Greek Universities Network. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all presentations at the EUNIS 2021 Congress will be given virtually.

The Congress presents an opportunity for sharing of experience amongst international specialists, users, researchers, decision-makers, and teaching staff from all over Europe. The event provides an ideal audience to present and publish the latest results of research, development, and deployment of Information Technology in HEIs.

Submissions are invited under one of the 7 tracks below:

  • Leadership & Management
  • ICT Infrastructure & Security
  • Learning, Teaching and Student Experience
  • Software Development
  • OpenX & Interoperability
  • ICT in Research
  • Covid-19 as an accelerator for digital transformation

Extended abstracts and (optionally) full papers are requested to be uploaded to the #EUNIS21 Congress Easy Chair system for reviewing. Find out more here.

Don’t miss to apply for the EUNIS awards! The call for entries is now open for the following awards:

  • EUNIS Elite Award – for excellence at an institution/consortium/national level
  • EUNIS Dørup Award – for outstanding and innovative use of IT in learning and teaching
  • EUNIS Award for AV enabled learning space – our international award for innovative use of AV technology
  • EUNIS Best Paper Award – selected from papers submitted for the annual Congress.

EUNIS21 Congress: call for papers is now open!

EUNIS is happy to announce a call for papers for the 2021 Annual Congress with the theme A New Era of Digital Transformation: Challenges for Higher Education.

The Congress will be held on 9 – 11 June 2021 in (Virtual) Athens hosted by the Greek Universities Network. The format of the event (fully online or hybrid) will be decided  before the abstract submission deadline, i.e. 26th of February 2021, depending on the pandemic situation.
The Congress presents an opportunity for sharing of experience amongst international specialists, users, researchers, decision-makers, and teaching staff from all over Europe. The event provides an ideal audience to present and publish the latest results of research, development, and deployment of Information Technology in HEIs.

“How To Make Cloud Services Secure”: outputs from the EUNIS online workshop

EUNIS Information Security Special Interest Group (InfoSec) organised the 2-hour online workshop “How To Make Cloud Services Secure” on 3rd of November 2020 targeted to CIO’s and security officers involved in the technology behind secure cloud service delivery.

Te workshop was focused on how to increase security in a world where cloud services rule.

The introductory talk was delivered by Jeroen Vandeleur, Service line lead Cloud Security, NVISO, Belgium.

The discussions addressed technical and implementation issues, such as:

  • What is the role of, and how to best set up security centres?
  • What can be done to prevent, detect, resolve security breaches?
  • How to set priorities in security policies?
  • How to use offerings by cloud service providers to improve our security?

IMS Europe Summit 2020: online meeting on 30 Nov
