EUNIS Congress – call for proposals: deadline 3 Oct, 2016

EUNIS Congress – call for proposals now open!

The successful EUNIS 2016 Congress in Thessaloniki is now behind us. The Congress is always a place where many inspiring ideas are shared and challenging projects presented, where new partnerships are formed and new initiatives launched.

We are now working on the next EUNIS 2017 Congress (7-9 June, 2017) in Münster, Germany and you can already find some information on the official website, so please have a look!

We now want to start planning the Congresses for the years ahead, so to be able to give our Community the best experience possible. Therefore, the EUNIS Board of Directors opens a call for the next Congresses submissions for the years 2018, 2019, 2020. More information on the bidding process is available here. If your institution is interested in hosting the following years Congress, please do not hesitate to send your bid to: info@eunis.org till 3rd of October 2016.

Elections to the EUNIS Board of Directors 2016

Dear EUNIS Members,

We would like to remind you that the EUNIS 2016 General Assembly will take place on June 9th, 2016 during the EUNIS Congress in Thessaloniki. As an official EUNIS Member you are entitled to take part in this important meeting. We would greatly appreciate your attendance and feedback.The agenda is:1. Welcome and registration of representatives (President of EUNIS)
2. Approval of the minutes from the 2015 GA meeting in Dundee (Executive Secretary of EUNIS)
3. Approval of new members since the last GA (Executive Secretary of EUNIS)
4. Reports and future activities (Task Force Leaders)
5. Special report about a financial issue (President/Treasurer of EUNIS)
6. Financial report and budget (Treasurer of EUNIS)
7. Election of scrutinizers for the election of Board members (Executive Secretary of EUNIS)
8. Election of Board members (Executive Secretary of EUNIS)
9. Any other Business (President of EUNIS)
The following candidates have applied to be members of the EUNIS Board:
  • Mr. John Murphy (current President of EUNIS)
  • Mr. Ilkka Siissalo (current Vice President of EUNIS and BencHEIT Task Force Leader)
  • Mr. Michele Mennielli (current Secretary)
In the past few months the two candidates listed below were co-opted to the EUNIS Board to replace two vacancies that had arisen from resignations from the Board. The General Assembly needs to approve and confirm (or reject) their candidatures as outlined in the EUNIS statutes. These Board members are:
  • Mr. Malte Dreyer
  • Mr. Yiannis Salmatzidis
The biographies of all current Board members can be found on the EUNIS website.The EUNIS Board would like to take this opportunity to remind you once again of the importance of attending the General Assembly in Thessaloniki.

Elections to the EUNIS Board of Directors 2016

Dear EUNIS Members,
EUNIS 2016 General Assembly will be held on June 9th, 2016 during the EUNIS Congress in Thessaloniki. All official representatives of EUNIS Member institutions are entitled to take part in the meeting. This forum is where all the decisions related to the EUNIS’ structure and organisation are made and updates from the EUNIS Task Forces and Board are presented. The General Assembly has two other very important duties: the election of EUNIS members to the EUNIS Board and approval of the EUNIS budget that will be presented by the Treasurer.
In June 2016 the terms of office of three Board Members will come to an end and these Board members will need to apply for re-election:
  • Mr. John Murphy (current President of EUNIS)
  • Mr. Ilkka Siissalo (current Vice President of EUNIS and BencHEIT Task Force Leader)
  • Mr. Michele Mennielli (current Secretary)
  • Ms. Valérie Le Strat (representative from AMUE)
While all the above have the opportunity to be re-elected we will welcome new candidatures to the EUNIS Board. EUNIS 2016 BencHEIT pre-Congress workshop: 7th of June 2016

EUNIS 2016 BencHEIT pre-Congress workshop

 

Prior to the annual EUNIS 2016 Congress in Thessaloniki 8th-10th June 2016, the BencHEIT Task Force organizers a pre-Congress workshop on Tuesday, 7th of June 2016. The other EUNIS TFs also plan their pre-congress workshops and that information will follow soon.

A preliminary BencHEIT workshop programme is ready, and the registration is already open. The workshop is free of charge for the EUNIS members. Please come and listen to interesting presentations, and participate in inspiring discussions!

Programme:

·         Introduction for newcomers

·         National processes: how are different countries collecting and evaluating data?

·         Transnational benchmarking; finding common indicators

·         Benchmarking before and after a merger, differences and benefits

·         Comparison between peers

·         Most important indicators for CIOs

EUNIS 2016: call for papers extended till 29th of February 2016

Dear Colleague,
The call for papers deadline has now passed, however due to a number of requests we have agreed to extend the period to allow for more submissions. We’ve had a fantastic response so far and look forward to receiving further papers before the final deadline. Please note the new deadline date is Monday 29th of February 2016This is the final deadline and no further extensions will be considered. 

Submissions are invited under one of the five tracks below:

  • Leadership & Management
  • ICT Infrastructure & Security
  • Teaching & Learning
  • Software Development
  • OpenX & Interoperability
