BencHEIT survey BM2016

The BencHEIT 2016 survey measures and compares the volumes and cost levels of IT at various organisational levels in European Higher Education Institutions (HEI).

BencHEIT is the first serious European level effort to create a survey which would be meaningful and useful in the European Higher Education context. BencHEIT works on the basis of voluntary work and total openness – every participating university or higher education institute can see all the data of all other participants, but commercial use of the data is prohibited.

Join the survey now

European Student Card Conference 2017, 6th of June 2017, Münster, Germany

EUNIS Pre-Congress workshop: European Student Card Conference 2017

6th of June 2017, Münster, Germany

The EUNIS Student Card Task Force invites to the European Student Card Conference 2017 as a pre-Congress workshop on 6th June 2017 at the University of Münster, Germany.

Discover the vision, potential and practical implementation of a European student identity card at an international conference in the framework of the EU project “European Student Card” (ESC). The pre-conference workshop presents the current state in the technical development of a European student ID card that could give access to services as diverse as library use, student restaurants, copy machines, or local transportation – one card for different services and all this with cross-border functionality. Additionally to the comprehensive presentation of the idea of a European Student Card, the workshop focuses on the opportunities in Student Services, and looks at the challenges which might come along with its implementation. You will get an overview about the current state of development, the progress of the EU-project and you will have the possibility to see the first prototype of a European Student Card. A practical part of the workshop allows for the verification of technical requirements.

This pre-conference workshop is aimed at IT specialist and leaders in higher education who are interested in the digital future of student cards, and is particularly useful for directors of IT services or student services in European institutions of higher education.

The workshop will take place from 10:00 – 18:00. There is no cost to attend the event. More information and booking here.

EUNIS 2017 pre-Congress workshop on Transforming the student experience, 6th June

EUNIS 2017 pre-Congress workshop: Transforming the student experience: journeys and destinations,

6th of June 2017, Münster, Germany

EUNIS members and Congress delegates are invited to participate in a free pre-Congress workshop. We will explore the use of technology to transform the student experience both in terms of the student’s overall learning journey and the campus as a destination.
The Journey
Participants will be trained in Student Experience Journey Mapping (SXJM). Customer Experience Journey Mapping (CXJM) is used in many sectors (watch this short video from Oracle to find out more). We will be applying a version of the technique specially adapted for the HE sector. SXJM is easy to learn and can be adapted to any area of University life. You will gain insight into how your students perceive their interactions with you that shows you where your interventions can really make a difference to outcomes. It can be used with non-technical colleagues and will help you decide which projects are worth pursuing. Expect the workshop to be fast and fun and leave you ready to undertake SXJM in your own university.
The Destination
We will also take a look at the university campus as a destination and what we need to do to meet the needs of 21st century learning and teaching. This will be an opportunity to hear about experiences worldwide as well as what is happening in Europe.
We have an award-winning design expert from Australia who will take you through a hands-on session in solving real world problems to improve the student experience in a typical campus space.
How to Register
Participation in the workshop is free!  All EUNIS members and Congress delegates are welcome. EUNIS members can opt to attend the workshop only although of course we hope you will stay for the whole of EUNIS 2017.

Provisional agenda:

  • 10.30-12.30  Student Experience Journey Mapping (SXJM)
  • 13.30-16.30 The Smarter Campus (international perspectives)
Places are strictly limited. EUNIS members are being given the first opportunity to register so book quickly to guarantee your place.
