EUNIS21 Congress call for papers deadline reminder: 26 Feb

A reminder that the call for papers for the 2021 Annual Congress, with the theme A New Era of Digital Transformation: Challenges for Higher Education, is open till 26th of February!

The Congress will be held on 9 – 11 June 2021 in (Virtual) Athens hosted by the Greek Universities Network. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, all presentations at the EUNIS 2021 Congress will be given virtually.

The Congress presents an opportunity for sharing of experience amongst international specialists, users, researchers, decision-makers, and teaching staff from all over Europe. The event provides an ideal audience to present and publish the latest results of research, development, and deployment of Information Technology in HEIs.

Submissions are invited under one of the 7 tracks below:

  • Leadership & Management
  • ICT Infrastructure & Security
  • Learning, Teaching and Student Experience
  • Software Development
  • OpenX & Interoperability
  • ICT in Research
  • Covid-19 as an accelerator for digital transformation

Extended abstracts and (optionally) full papers are requested to be uploaded to the #EUNIS21 Congress Easy Chair system for reviewing. Find out more here.

  • EUNIS Elite Award – for excellence at an institution/consortium/national level
  • EUNIS Dørup Award – for outstanding and innovative use of IT in learning and teaching

  • EUNIS Best Paper Award – selected from papers submitted for the annual Congress.

Launch session of EUNIS IT benchmarking survey BM2020: 3 February 2021

As the next round of benchmarking survey on IT costs and volumes of Higher Education institutions is about to start, we would like to invite you to the launch session on 3rd of February 2021 at 13.00 CET.

In this webinar we will:

  •     Introduce you to the BM working space (called Eduuni)
  •     Look at the BM2020 survey Excel and how to use it
  •     Answer any questions you may have regarding the tools, the benchmarking process, or the interpretation of the questions.
The session will be an online meeting in Zoom. The emphasis will be put on discussion, so your questions are welcome! We especially recommend the meeting to new participants. There will be a lot of valuable information and tips shared by the experienced benchmarkers. To get access to our collaboration platform Eduuni, we need your contact information, thus please register here. Participation in BM2020 survey is voluntary and free of charge.

The call for entries is now open for the following awards:

The deadline for entries for all of the awards is 26 February 2021.

EUNIS Cloud Management report

EUNIS Cloud Community Group launched a survey to cover up topics about cloud usage in HEIs. The data was collected till the end of 2020. Read the report here.

The outcomes were discussed at the last video call of the group, resulting in a couple of ideas for upcoming workshops, e.g.

  • multi cloud management
  • user experiences with cloud management
  • data classification.

EUNIS AR/VR Special Interest Group meeting: 22 Dec 12.00 CET

EUNIS AR/VR Special Interest Group first meeting will be held on 22 Dec at 12.00 CET. The purpose is to get acquaintance and share objectives, issues or outcomes.
It will take place in an ENGAGE virtual room. Please follow the link to get ask for access to the event:
