EUNIS 2017 pre-Congress workshop: Transforming the student experience: journeys and destinations,

6th of June 2017, Münster, Germany

EUNIS members and Congress delegates are invited to participate in a free pre-Congress workshop. We will explore the use of technology to transform the student experience both in terms of the student’s overall learning journey and the campus as a destination.
The Journey
Participants will be trained in Student Experience Journey Mapping (SXJM). Customer Experience Journey Mapping (CXJM) is used in many sectors (watch this short video from Oracle to find out more). We will be applying a version of the technique specially adapted for the HE sector. SXJM is easy to learn and can be adapted to any area of University life. You will gain insight into how your students perceive their interactions with you that shows you where your interventions can really make a difference to outcomes. It can be used with non-technical colleagues and will help you decide which projects are worth pursuing. Expect the workshop to be fast and fun and leave you ready to undertake SXJM in your own university.
The Destination
We will also take a look at the university campus as a destination and what we need to do to meet the needs of 21st century learning and teaching. This will be an opportunity to hear about experiences worldwide as well as what is happening in Europe.
We have an award-winning design expert from Australia who will take you through a hands-on session in solving real world problems to improve the student experience in a typical campus space.
