Dear Colleague
I know that you are all making your plans to go to Berlin for EUNIS 2001 and I look forward to meeting many of you there. However, for some of you it may not be possible to attend at the end of March and I offer you an alternative, the details of which are below.
I remind you that UCISA is the UK organization for HE institutions, and it is UCISA that actually belongs to EUNIS. I distribute EUNIS information on the UCISA list and this is a quid pro quo - information about a UK conference coming to you!
The conference is in Brighton, on England's south coast, and is quite close to many of you. If some of you think that it might be a long way to go I will add that this information has also been circulated on the Australian universities mailing list.
Best wishes Ron

The UCISA Management Conference
The theme of this year's UCISA Management Conference is:
e is for Change
To meet the challenges facing higher education in this new millenium requires an understanding of emerging technologies and the ways in which they can be exploited to enhance both the effectiveness and the efficiency of research, teaching, learning, assessment, administration and entrepreneurial activities. The changes necessary must be made in a changing, connected world within a new set of policy, legal and financial constraints and in an era of 'the student as customer'. Are you ready for these challenges?
UCISA2001 brings together a range of high profile speakers, a focussed exhibition of HE suppliers and opportunities to network with key players in e-education.
UCISA2001 is in Brighton, UK, from 14 - 16 March 2001. For further details go to: http://www.ucisa.ac.uk/conference/UCISA2001/Introduction1.html
