The association is directed by a Board of Directors, made up of 3 to 9 Members, elected for three years by the General Assembly. The board of directors meet regularly.
Council members are lected by the General Assembly. For each country: one from the institutions chamber, one from the organizations chamber when such organizations exist in the country.
For each country the institutions chamber is made of all institutions: universitiesand Research institutions, the organization chamber is made of Educational Organizations and Associations whenever they exist.
Corporate Members are companies interested in EUNIS activities. They are appointed by the General Assembly at the proposal of the Board of Directors.
The association is made up of Higher Education or Research Institutions and National Educational Organisations within Europe who are represented by Representatives. Representatives are persons appointed by their organisations. They belong to the General Assembly.
Honorary Members are persons who rendered notable service to the association. They are appointed by the General Assembly at the proposal of the Board of Directors. They do not have to pay any subscription, however, they do not have voting rights.
Members by Correspondence are selected under the same conditions as Active Members which is ineligible for Active Members. This category is reserved for representatives of non-European countries.
