Thanks for using our websites and services. The integrity of your personal data is very important to us and we take your privacy seriously. Your trust is important to us. Therefore, we respect the privacy and inform you about the collected and stored data.

Duration of storage of personal data

We reserve the right to retain the data subject’s personal data for as long as the purpose of such storage exists. If processing is permitted on the basis of the subject’s consent, his/her personal data is only stored until the data subject withdraws his/her consent, except in cases where processing is governed by a different legal basis.

Cookies

The EUNIS site uses cookies to allow customisation and to collect anonymous web metrics. Your browser also stores so-called cookies. The saving of cookies can be switched off in the settings of your browser, however, it may be that in this case you may not be able to fully use all the functions of this website. Using your personal information

When you provide us with your personal information we may keep this on file.

We will use the information to provide the service(s) you have requested from us. We may also use the information to improve the provision of services and, unless indicated otherwise, to keep you informed of other relevant service, facilities and activities.

In compliance with legislation, any such contact will provide instructions on how to opt out of marketing communications if you would prefer not to receive this information in future.

Organisational contacts

For a number of EUNIS services, member organisations are required to nominate individuals as their primary contacts. If you are nominated, we will contact you to confirm that we have correct details and that you are aware of the duties of your role. Information about organisational contacts is retained in our files.

We will use information about organisational contacts to provide the relevant service(s) to your organization. We may also use the information, as for directly collected information above, for service improvement and to inform you of relevant EUNIS activities.

An organisational contact may request that their information be deleted from our files. . However we may require your organisation to provide a replacement contact before. We will correct any inaccuracies in such information as soon as practicable after being notified.

Events

Data about participant job roles and institutions may be shared with partners for the purpose of tailoring our events. We will ask prior approval to include your name on delegate lists to share with other participants.

We may take photographs and/or make recordings at events – if you do not wish to be included please make this known to the organisers on the day.

Mailing lists

Some areas of EUNIS work (eg. Task Forces) are supported by discussion lists and forums provided by G Suite. View the G Suite privacy policy (//cloud.google.com/security/compliance/gdpr/). Subscribers can terminate the subscription themselves at any time; the e-mail addresses will be deleted.

Newsletter

You can also subscribe to newsletter from the EUNIS site (www.eunis.org) to enter personal information (e-mail address). The use of this service by users is expressly voluntary. The e-mail addresses for the newsletter are stored and used for no purpose other than sending the newsletter. Subscribers can terminate the subscription themselves at any time; the e-mail addresses will be deleted. We use Mailchimp tool for the newsletter. View the Mailchimp privacy policy.
