The EUNIS Board of Directors is pleased to invite submissions for the 9th EUNIS Elite Award for Excellence
The main purpose of the EUNIS Elite Award is to recognise and promote best practice in some aspect of the use of information systems in higher education in Europe. The competition will:
A prize of 2000€ will be awarded to the authors of the winning submission. The winner is announced at the EUNIS 2010 Congress in Warsaw, Poland.
A member of the winning team must register to attend the Conference and be ready to present a short paper describing the project.
Submissions for the Award may come from any area related to information systems, including for example:
The panel of judges needs to see evidence of successful implementation. Entries will score well if they clearly show some or all of the following:
Entries will not be restricted to in-house developments only. Solutions acquired elsewhere will also be accepted for consideration by the judges, but there must be clear evidence of original and imaginative use of the technology by the institution making the submission.
All Full Members of EUNIS are eligible to compete for the Elite Award for Excellence, including institutions in national organisations in membership of EUNIS.
Only one entry per institution will be accepted.
Entries must be submitted electronically following the rules and template for full papers (c.f. http://eunis.pl/eunis-2010-camera-ready-paper-template.doc). The document should describe:
A brief summary of the project is also required. It should follow the rules and template for extended abstracts (c.f. http://eunis.pl/eunis-2010-extended-abstract-template.doc).
All entries must include a statement permitting EUNIS to publish details of the project. One of the most important objectives of the EUNIS Elite Award for Excellence is to recognise examples of best practice and share them with our community.
