Session I: Driving change in leadership and management

New research paradigms and education delivery methods are increasingly important for the leadership and management of higher education institutions. Research practices and tools (e.g. openness, research information systems) influence the outcomes and impact of scientific activity, with implications on funding and on a diversity of criteria influencing international university rankings. Likewise, online education opens a vast range of opportunities for funding and internationalisation, but demand the development of new business models overlapping on-campus and distance education markets.
